Josh is a global Brand & Creative executive with more than 20 years of experience helping shape some of the world’s most influential technology brands and cultural movements.
Currently, Josh serves as VP of Global Brand & Creative at CoreWeave, where he leads the company’s brand strategy, creative, design, operations, social and production teams. His work focuses on shaping how one of the fastest-growing AI full-stack cloud companies in the world shows up across every touchpoint, from corporate narrative and brand campaigns to product storytelling and executive communications.
Before joining CoreWeave, Josh was VP, Executive Creative Director at Atlassian. There, he built and led a unified global Brand & Creative organization spanning strategy, design, production, media, and operations. During his tenure, Josh launched Atlassian’s first-ever brand platform, “Impossible Alone,” and led the company’s first enterprise-level integrated brand campaign developed primarily in-house. This work that drove multiple years of double-digit brand lift, the strongest in Atlassian’s 20+ year history. He also partnered closely with Pentagram and Atlassian’s Product Design team to evolve the company’s visual identity system across both marketing and product experiences. Josh scaled a multi-disciplinary team, modernized processes, and established a high-performing creative culture that continues to shape Atlassian’s brand worldwide.
Prior to Atlassian, Josh was Global Chief Creative Officer for Reality Labs at Meta, where he built and led a global organization of more than 200 creatives, including designers, creative directors, technologists, producers, strategists, business affairs and operations teams. Josh and his organization helped bring products like Quest, Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses, and Portal to market, leading everything from naming and identity systems to campaigns, packaging, retail, experiential, and integrated go-to-market programs.
Earlier at Meta, Josh helped build “The Factory,” Facebook’s internal creative agency. An ambitious and unconventional creative organization responsible for many of the company’s most transformative brand initiatives. During that time, Josh led work including the redesign of Facebook’s logo and visual identity systems, the development of globally recognized campaigns, and the creation of Facebook’s patented personalized video platform. He also oversaw creative for F8, Facebook’s annual developer conference, while leading the Analog Research Lab and the Facebook Artist in Residence program.
Before Meta, Josh served as Design Director and ECD for President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign, where he helped pioneer a new era of digitally driven political branding, organizing, fundraising, and voter engagement. The work became widely recognized for blending creativity, technology, and analytics in ways that reshaped modern campaign communications.
Long before his career in design and branding, Josh was a professional musician and a Fender Musical Instruments Corporation endorsed artist. He spent over a decade touring and recording with his band fluf, performing on the first five Vans Warped Tours and tours alongside bands including Blink-182, Sublime, No Doubt, and Fugazi. After releasing seven albums through Cargo and MCA Universal Records, Josh returned to school to study design, beginning a second career that would eventually take him from political campaigns to some of the world’s most recognized technology companies.
Outside of his professional work, Josh has remained deeply committed to community and creative philanthropy. Over the years, he has organized charitable art and design initiatives supporting disaster relief and social causes, including projects benefiting victims of hurricanes, wildfires, and the Haiti earthquake. He has also served on the advisory board for the Tony Hawk Foundation and the board of AIGA, and continues to speak internationally on creativity, leadership, branding, and culture. Humility is at the core of who Josh is, so even though he has picked up several over his career, he’d be the last person on earth to talk about awards.
Through every chapter of his career, Josh has remained driven by the same belief: great brands are built by combining creativity, humanity, systems thinking, and storytelling at scale.
